I’m Helen, the owner and founder of Cottonwood Bakery.
I’ve been inspired by the delicious baked goods I’ve eaten in the neighbourhood bakeries of New York City, the informal but elegant wedding cakes of coastal California, and everything I’ve tasted in between. My aim is to bring these influences back home to make creative and unique cakes and desserts that focus on flavour, quality and innovation. (You won’t find any dull, dry cakes here!) I use only the best seasonal ingredients that I source locally wherever possible.
I have two little boys who are as passionate about cake as I am. They are constantly encouraging me to create new recipes and try out new ideas – as long as there is a bowl or spoon to lick! Hopefully, you’ll find some inspiration here for your next party or special occasion.
