How do I secure the booking?
A £120 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date for wedding cakes and dessert tables, with the remaining balance due one month before the event.
Do you provide a free cake tasting session?
Yes. Once you have secured the date, we will arrange an appointment to sample cake flavours and discuss the details of your requirements. Wedding cake consultations can also be booked for a small charge of £20, which is then refundable off your deposit should you go ahead and book your cake with us.
What happens if I have to cancel?
We will give you a full refund (apart from the deposit) if you cancel the booking not less than two weeks before the date of the event. If you cancel any later than this, any refund will be at our discretion because we might have already started work on your cake or dessert table. This two-week cancellation policy also applies to one-off celebration cakes.
Do you make a separate charge for delivery?
We make no charge for delivery within a 40 mile radius for all cakes over £200. We might be happy to deliver to you in other situations so please contact us to find out and for an idea about the likely cost.
Can I collect my order?
You can also arrange to collect your cake from our bakery and we will discount your order by £30. We can’t offer the same discount for our dessert tables because they need to be set up properly at the venue.
Are there any other charges?
There is a charge of £25 for hiring one of our cake stands for single wedding cakes and we ask for a refundable deposit of £40 to cover breakages.
For dessert buffets, there is no charge for hiring the various stands used, as these are an integral part of the display. However, we do ask for a refundable breakage deposit of £80.
How much can I expect to pay for a wedding cake or dessert table?
As each cake is individual and every detail of a dessert table is designed on a bespoke basis, we prefer to discuss prices as we agree each order. As a guide, you can expect to pay upwards of £500 for dessert tables and the following for wedding cakes:
2 tiers from £250
3 tiers from £320
4 tiers from £400
Other sizes are of course available on request.
Can I have real flowers on my cake?
Yes. We love working with real flowers and usually talk to your florist to ensure that the design matches your other floral arrangements. We always take the necessary precautions regarding food safety and hygiene. This includes properly binding/covering the stems of any flowers and the use of appropriate food-grade materials. But we cannot be responsible for the cake once it has been delivered. You must therefore inform the venue to take care to ensure that the flowers are properly removed before the cake is cut, particularly when flowers or foliage are actually inserted into the cake.

Will you take photographs of my cake?
We reserve the right to take and use photographs of your cake for marketing and promotional purposes only, e.g., to put on our website or social media. If you are not happy for us to do this, please tell us at the time of making the booking.
Yes. We collect and store personal information and we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of that information. We may use personal information to send you our email newsletter and other marketing communications relating to our business which we think may be of interest to you. You can inform us at any time if you no longer want to receive any further material from us.
We will not provide your personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing.
We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
Are there any circumstances when you might have to cancel?
We value every order and will always do our utmost to fulfil it whatever happens. But the reality is that there may be circumstances that are completely beyond our control which mean that we can’t. For example, there is always a risk (however small) that we cannot safely undertake delivery to your venue because of adverse weather conditions, or that we experience an unexpected illness or family emergency in the days before your wedding. If a problem does arise, we will give you as much warning as we possibly can in case this allows you to make alternative arrangements. We will also be fair and reasonble in terms of providing you with a refund, particularly if we have not already started work on your cake or dessert table. However, it might be that we cannot provide a refund in some situations.
